That was a a video I posted prior to installing a new intake it was the only way I could keep it running.

Also no I did the intake swap without taking out the distributor in fear I would mess up the timing.

Do you have a timing light? If not get one, and make it a "dial-back".
Yur gonna need it anyway, sooner or later.
But for now, just crank the distributor by pulling the vacuum-advance can (after loosening the hold-down, just a bit)
'til it runs decent, so we can get an idea of what's going on.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I can just about guarantee that if I tried to install an intake without the distributor out of the way I would end up with major vacuum, coolant, and/or oil leaks although I know some people are able to.

Both intake ports were wet so at this point I am just confused
