318 questions!!!

Ok guys I found a 318 long block with the number 4006750-318-1 now I am trying to get a flywheel to mount a 4 speed and keep getting asked for the casting number. Well no one can find this number and they tell me there is no flywheel to fit this engine. I know this can't be could someone please tell me what I need I believe I have everything except the fly wheel and clutch assy. thanks larry

What year? 318/340, same.

Order a neutral balanced flywheel for a 340. Same as a 318 like green1 said.

Well guys thanks a bunch ordered all my parts today at american powertrain alot of the other parts are in pretty soon it will start to go together!!

I am not a 4 speed guy, but will be doing the same thing with my 318 soon that I am installing in my W100. Don't you need to install a pilot bushing in the crank for the trans?

yes needle bearing it comes with the clutch kit

I'm not a clutch guy, so correct me if I'm wrong, but, didn't some of the cranks need to be drilled for the pilot......aka a auto crank.....?
