318 to 360 what do I need to change?

aside from either getting the external balance flex plate or getting a torque converter with a external weight welded on I would think everything think else is the same.

You certainly don't need to spend money like that on motor mounts if you already have a 318. You can use the 318 mounts on the 360, you will just have to make up a 1/2" spacer from flat washers to go between the rear ear on the drivers side of the block and the mount bracket. Or track down a 340/360 factory drivers side bracket.

Othere than it the 360 will be a direct bolt in. Other things to consider are a beefier tranny, you likely have a 7.25 rear end so an 8.25 or 8.75 will stand up to more abuse and higher capacity radiaotr may be needed.

Here's a look at what's required to use the 318 motor mount on the 360. Just weld on a piece of metal to the 318 mount or use washers to take up the space. The right side is a direct bolt on so you only need to do this on the left side mount.
