I did 13.92 in my 65 Barracuda, full interior, all steel. Stock short block, small chamber heads shaved .030 ( I used 1966 273 heads, 302's would do) with 1.88, 1.6 valves, MP thin composition head gaskets. Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 3310, an old Crane Blazer cam, "D" Dart headers, 166K MP converter, 3.55 gears, 215/70x14 tires.

I have a stock 318 with a 650 holley jetted at 68 and 70. RPM Air Gap. Hooker Headers. Mopar Electronic ignition. 8.75 sure grip with 3.91`s, running a 26 x 9.5 x 15 Hoosier QTP tire. And a 904 with a stock converter. It will run a 13.65 all day long. I was in the staging lanes at the March Meets and a guy walked over to my car and asked all about my drive train. I told him and he said "theres no way you can get that time with what you have". I told him "watch me". I had dialed a 13.60 to be on the safe side. I ran a 13.61. He found me in the pit about an hour later and apologized.

Gotta love it, doing more with less!

Stock cam?

I talked to the Comp Cams guy at the March Meets about a new cam. His name is Michael McLaughlin, this guy knows his stuff. I will be breaking down the motor next week and putting in Comp XE268H. I am hoping for 12.99 when done.

Yeah I got mp484 cam intake 650 dp and I'm gonna gear the little rear end for her till we get a better one probably 391 or 410 she has 28 inch tall tires and tranny is built somwewill see

That cam is a bit big for no compression and IMO, you might want more gear.

13s with a stock 318 cam? Wow.
How much does your car weigh?
What year is the motor..ie what compression?

My poly 318 was pretty darn quick, but none of my LAs seemed as stout.
I've got an 87 9 to 1 roller I'd sure like to put in the 13s.

About the cat...I'm a cat guy, and I must admit I do find that a bit disturbing.
I like to believe there's more to the story, ie not jumping to it's death.
