any input needed
i have a 73 swinger with a 318, planning on freshing up engine. has stock 2 brl intake , i plan on putting in a real mild cam, freshining up heads with 3 angle valve job and new seals..etc.

can i use a 340 4brl intake?
for exhaust just going to run duals 2 1/4 off the stock exhaust manifolds

The port mismatch is an over rated issue. It'll bolt on and do fine. Port matching the head to the intake would be good, but it is not a "Must do."

I have a 70 Dart 318 and I did this. Pulled the 2bbl and was amazed to find the heads were gasket matched, dropped a 68 340 intake on it with a 600 cfm carb, 1971 340 manifolds with 2 1/4 duals, also installed MP electronic ignition, really woke the engine up, runs great!

I have the same setup, works fine. I did gasket match the head ports but as stated it is not crucial.
