Hi we are having some difficulty with carpeting around the console of our 4 speed. The offset hurst shifter sits to the side. Do any of you have pictures of an original or one you have redone with carpet. We are stumped. I know that shifter just can’t sit there offset not covered can it?

Hi!, do you have any pictures of the console? Do you know if it was a factory M/T console? Mine is an automatic with 4spd top plate, so my shifter also sticks out the side, as I do not have the factory jutt out

Is this what you are after? I am pretty sure this is the original carpet from 69. If you need something else, let me know.

There is a hard cardboard cover the screws to the console and the carpet goes around it. Currently none exist but someone had some printed one's that would work in a pinch, don't know if he still has any...

I’ll attach a photo tomorrow. I know there are two boots. And it is offset.

The reason I ask, is cause mine looks like this, and I also could not, for the life of me figure out how the carpet was supposed to go on. Once I found out about the piece, it made sense. My plan was to find a factory M/T console and get an idea of where to locate and how big it needed to be and make one out of fiberglass and cardboard. I must add, the boot was not ripped by the console, I reused the boot from when the car was bench/floor shift and was already torn

Well that is an automatic console base, the 4-speed looks like this...

Ha! Even better. I just thought they were the same, sans bulge. Thanks Hemi! Of the 4 that I have, they all came from factory as auto.
