What I'd like to do is take a 69 date coded 340 block and build either 367 or 410 stroker w/6 Pak. Will 2 bolt mains be ok or can block be machined for 4 bolt? Will the block need to be clearanced for the longer stroke? Doable or not?

Sure it's doable. I'm not sure about the clearance issue but use ARP main studs instead of bolts, double check all clearances and use good quality parts throughout. Good luck!

if you use I beam rods they will clear with a 4 inch stroke...

Scat 4340 I beam rods....

ok, well, i have a 7/11/69 340. just sitting, needs to go

With a 4 inch stroke crank, some rods will need to be clearanced. I forget which ones will not clear.

On the 3.58 crank, everything will drop in without issue. (.030 over gives you 372 cubes)

2 bolt mains will hold 600+ HP. Skip the 4 bolt.

I agree.

I just did this with a Scat kit in a 340 I bought from OU812 (Brian) at IMM. No clearancing needed at all with thier I beam rods.
