i looke on nada to see that a 70 duster 340 is mid retailed at 17,800 and a 70 dart 340 is only at 11,000

i thought that the dart 340 is more of a rare car. anyone know how many 70 dart 340 were made and how many 340 dusters of the same year.

where do i look for the amount of each color that were produced? thank you

NADA prices don't reflect todays market in my opinion on the Duster. I would say the $11,000 dollar mid retail on the Dart might be good start for either car. providing they were unrestored numbers matching with all original equipment intact.

Most of the 340 cars have been striped of the things that make them worth money. Like numbers matching drivetrain, air cleaner, intake and exhaust manifolds, wheels hub caps, ect.

Well, i was wondering cause i have my 72 duster 340 with numbers amtching, and all the stuff is original minus like carpet, headliner and paint. Now i just scored a 70 340 swinger, and it too is all original, but a rough one. Needing a full resto, and i was almost thinking that if i had to ever sell it, then i would never get my money back out of me doing all the work myself

From what i've seen duster's sell for more then darts especially '70-'71 dusters..unless your talking numbers matching low miles late sixtys big block dart but thats a whole different animal..

Well the markets bad right now but could change in the future. I have a 66 Barracuda formula s in the classifieds needing a full restore here because I was thinking the same thing. But if no one wants it thats OK. I never buy a car I don't like. A little bit of work here and there and someday it will be nice again.

arent the 340 dart more rare. i am talking the 70-71 darts
