Looking to change my exhaust on my 71 340 duster.
Currently have hooker headers and cherry bomb turbos 2.5 inch.
Think there is a leak .. what is a good header gasket.
Also looking for a little deeper sound. Flowmaster?
Is 2.5 inch enough or should I do 3 inch.

2.5" is plenty big, I love my Flowmasters and yes, they have a nice deep muscle sound....I have always had good luck with Mr. gasket header gaskets on my 340's :glasses7:

Just saw new product ad for Mr Gasket "Aluminum layered exhaust gasket" Leak proof. Seals warped or damaged flanges. Don't know anything about it, but looks new.

I normally use Mr. Gaskets "Ultra Seals" but I didn't know they had that other one. Nice!

Deep throaty tone muffler? That would come from a chambered muffler.
Hooker Aero Chamber
Dyno Max turbo/Super Turbo
Summit turbo

Flow Masters do not flow as well.

Exhaust tune sizing should meet HP requirements of the engine and the cars performance needs. At 2-1/2 inch dual exhaust on the street (and sometimes strip) that would be very suitable to use.
