Hi, what heads are these? Casting number 341891, 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust. They are from my -68 340 and I was thinking are they worth doing a valvejob and new springs.
Yes, valve seats, I didnt remember the word in english.. :salut: New valve seats will be like 500 euros... have to think about it.If the valves are "pretty deep", you'll need to put valve seats in. The worst thing one can do with a valve job is to sink the valves.
If these are original 2.02 heads you may have a set of 1970 340TA heads..well worth rebuiding...
Look closer. Your casting number should be 3418915 instead of 341891 unless you just missed a keystroke.
The 915 heads with 2.02 valves were 70 only for the T/A and the 915 heads with 1.88 valves were 71-72 340 heads. The 73 340 heads had a casting number of 3671587http://www.
Where could I find a datecode to see if the heads match to the block? My 1970, built in june of '70, 340 duster has 2.02 j heads stock......
