I've got a used set of 8 TRW #456 high dome pistons with a set of 8 alum superrods on them these came out of a race motor that only had 4-6 passes on them very minimal signs of wear the piston are standard bore with floating pins. Rods are in extremely nice shape. would like to get $700.00 O.B.O. plus the ride and 4% paypal inbox me for any question. they are located in Kenosha Wisconsin.

They measure 4.o4

Hmmmm. If they are standard bore, they should measure 4.034-4.035 and if they are .020 over that should be 4.054-4.055 or something close to that.

Pretty weird to have a piston measure nominal bore size. Trying to understand what you have.

Standard bore on a 340 is 4.03 these measures 4.04 so .01 over , the piston measures 4.04 so I'm sure the bore needs to be 4.044 to 4.045

Just for the sake of absolute accuracy, a STANDARD 340 bore is 4.040 not 4.030.

So, I'm still not sure what you have, and can't make an offer until it is clear what the numbers are.

When you get an accurate measurement, let me know. I'd be interested if the bore size is what I need.

You know what your right for some reason I thought it was 4.03 my mistake well they do measure 4.04 so they must be standard bore pistons . Are you wanting center to center rod length

Hereverything is a pic of the calipers measuring across the piston skirt with the calipers just resting there while I took the pic

I measured 4.042 with a caliper not a mic so depending on a person's squeeze pressure .

are the top rings .062" , or .078" ? and that 056 number is not a part number, if the top rings are .062" part number is L2322F. a nice 662 gram piston with a 10.7cc dome volume, gives 12.1/1 with a 68cc head.

top ring is .062, its 456 not 056 that's the # under the TRW in the casting. and ok I stand corrected in the compression ratio
