I'll tell you a secret;
On the street 400ftlbs is better than 400 horsepower.Zero to 60 is a one or at the very most, a two gear deal,and even 300 hp will blaze the tires most of the way there.
But 400 ftlbs is nice, cuz you can steer the car with the throttle,pretty much all the way to 50 mph if you got the brass for it. And that is ridiculously addictive.
You can get nearly 400ftlbs out of a 318. It is an easy build for a 360. It should be doable with a 340 and even at 8/1 compression. If not; there's always a touch of TM.
