Maybe someone can help me!
Everything runs and works well on my 340 but it stalls on launch.
If I baby the pedal until it gets rolling then I can put it all the way down.
Idling and flooring it .........stall.
Automatic trans. nothing tuff in the rearend yet.

Thanks

Check the Accelerator pump for proper operation..might need to adjust that. Not sure what carb you have(Model...Mechanical or Vacuum Secondaries)....other things to check.... Metering Rod Size, Metering Rod Spring Tension, and Jetting.

You need a bigger pump squirter......it needs more fuel off the line to take up for the lean condidtion you are causing by opening the throttle all the way up.

OR, you may need a smaller squirter as you may be flooding it. Either way poor throttle response, bog, stumble, stall etc.

What carb are you running? Check the obvious like accel pump, vacuum leaks, float level. How about cam, converter, base timing? Flooring the throttle off the line may not produce the shortest 60 foot times, but it shouldn't kill the engine either.
