rebuilt fresh 72 340 long block bored .40 over j heads steel crank internally balanced and has comp xe284h cam and double roller timing chain, all arp bolts $1200

a833 4speed and aluminum small block bell housing $800 obo.

How long has it been sitting since the refresh? That’s a lot of rust on the heads. What was the inside of the block painted with? Have you had the heads off? What cam is in it? What is the number on the passenger side of the block?Thanks. Kim

If u look at post 5 u can see there is a flat spot above the oil pan rail and below the frost plug. There should be a series of numbers stamped into it. If they’re the same numbers then u have the original motor. If not u may have someone else’s. Or the pad May be blank indicating it’s a warranty block. Kim
 
I sold my original motor over 45 years ago cuz I couldn't get the rings to seat and I thought I might have to bore it. Bought a friends because he put a hemi in his dart and I knew his block was good. Come to find out, I had my heads cut 30 thousands and the *** hat (and he was an *** hat) never mentioned that I need the cut the intake 15. I was sucking oil through the valley. I can't remember where the buyer was from but I know he was somewhat local and this is in Illinois.
