I am thinking about putting a 5.9 magnum where my 318 is.It's in a duster. Will the exhaust pipe fit the magnum manifolds or will i have to get new exhaust?
Ask and ye shall receive! Brewer's Performance - Mopar A833 4-Speed Transmission and Component Specialists340 manifolds would be a great ting for someone to repro-
they'd have a lot more customers than just people with 340's
360 magnum Jeep grand Cherokee passenger manifold - $60I bought my repro 340 exhaust manifolds from Shaker and they were $600.

340 HP 70s driver's manifold $150 -$100
$695! Whew, proud!Ask and ye shall receive! Brewer's Performance - Mopar A833 4-Speed Transmission and Component Specialists
Yes but available. I gave seen nice used ones go for just a bit less.$695! Whew, proud!
I was looking to do the same thing with the 360 EQ heads and the repro exhaust manifolds. Has anyone else experienced this problem and would the edelbrock heads be the better way to go eliminating this port mismatch? Maybe the Indy MA-X heads, but looking at their picture might be the same problem.
Shaker Hood still has these manifolds for $600.00$695! Whew, proud!
I've never tried to install 340/magnum manifolds on EQ heads but an adapter should work if it doesn't push the manifold too far out away from the engine causing interference????Just working now on putting a set of 68 to 70 340 manifolds on the EQ Magnum heads. There is a mismatch on the ports that have to be corrected. Not only are the center ports wider but the lower portion port on the exhaust will not seal on the exhaust flange on the heads. Time to make up some flange adapters or do some welding on the exhaust manifold.
Just making the plates up today out of 3/32 thick 2 1/2" flat bar.I've never tried to install 340/magnum manifolds on EQ heads but an adapter should work if it doesn't push the manifold too far out away from the engine causing interference????
Steel on cast shouldn't be a problem....drag racers have been doing it for decades. I would use the EQ gaskets and the 340/magnum gasket on the respective surfaces....but that's just me. Silicone will give you a little more clearance, but you may not need the extra clearance???????Just making the plates up today out of 3/32 thick 2 1/2" flat bar.
Going to try steel on cast iron with high temp silicone as the sealer.
That was the plan to use the 340 heat shield gasket but have not made my mind up on the other side.Steel on cast shouldn't be a problem....drag racers have been doing it for decades. Complete 2 1/2" exhaust going in with a cross over pipeIf you boost power a bit 2.5'' exhaust might not be a bad idea too.

Never tried it on a '74 but it work just fine as long as it's not a early A body. I plug the small gas ports below the exhaust ports. So I just picked up a 9376 passenger side exhaust manifold. Will it fit a 74LA head? Without making special plates that is?
