340 not running anymore...Help Please?

I can't remember which ones, but some had the sec plate, and some didn't. Check the holes in the gaskets; some only go one way.
 
"No metal plate option". Only available certain years. Very rare.

Secondary Plates came on some OEM carbs. These took the place of sec jets and other metering stuff. Unless you have a 70's OEM 383 or 440 Carb, your carb probably does not have one. Have to agree with "green 1" and match the gaskets up as best you can. Should work fine.

Finished reassembling the carb, and installed a new fuel filter and pressure regulator. She started great and sounds better than she ever did!!!! All I can say is Thank You!!! Thank You!!! Thank You!!!!! I really appreciate everyone's help I don't know what I would have done without y'all.
