Hi all, here's a complete set of red stripe valve springs and retainers from my 340 X heads. No issues, I had planned to use them until the cam I chose required machining the heads and double springs.
$125 plus the ride.

To be honest i would have to check parts and service manuals. I know they were on original x heads from 340 in my 69 cuda and machine shop redid my heads 30 years ago and they were sitting on the shelf waiting for a 340 build.

Oem had 2 springs, with dampener in-between didn't it?

These are 340 springs Tommy, I removed them myself from my 69 X heads.

You’re right,,,,but after 50 + years,,,who’s to say what those springs are ?
No numbers on them,,,just red .
Either way,,,,good springs .
