340 question

There are a lot of other variables that could make it worth more or less

is it complete?

It really depends on where you are geographically too. Here in the southeast, MOPARS are not as popular as Ford & Chevy and so the price is higher cause there are fewer.

I paid $2000 for mine and then spent another $5000 to have it all rebuilt. I waited for over a year for one to even be advertised though so when it was I jumped all over it.

if you have one for sale... you would be lucky to get scrap for it... I'll give ya $200 bucks. :)

a 68 340 in awful condition will go for 500 and up in my area...they are a great motor ...good luck....

I paid $300 for a complete stock standard bore 1970 340 in 2002.

$400-500 for a rebuildable short block is fair or $800-$1000 for a good x headed long block at standard bore.

My favorites are the 70-73 blocks with the extra ribbing down the center of the freeze plugs, but really I'd take any of them.

I have 3 of'em myself.

I should have stated fresh rebuild motor with purple shaft cam and 273 adjustable rockers, balanced and everything else is stock including the intake manifold. Thanks for the replies guys.
