340 spacer plate

I am restoring a 69 Barracuda, I bought it with the engine and trans in pieces.
I have now rebuilt the engine and the 4 sod trans, about to put the 2 together but need to know. Is there supposed to be a spacer plate between the engine and trans?
I did not get one with the car but just seems as though there should be one.
If it is supposed to have one, any suggestions on where to find one?

No spacer plate, just a lower inspection cover and a lower front thin gage steel dust shield.

Are you having a fitment issue? Like the the input shaft is too long? That is possible.
