Has anyone done this?? What all would have to be done besides cutting down the main journals of the crank?? How would you have it balanced??

Just buy the 4" crank and be done with it. You will spend more on machine work to make it fit, then you could buy the 4" crank for. I think KB makes pistons for the 318 stroker, you would have even more money in custom pistons for the 360 crank deal, and your engine would still be smaller.

Do a search on this topic "348" thread. The OE poster describes how to do it but IIRC, customized his own pistons. I do not remember the specifics to this.

OH, custom pistons are on the shelf at Keith Black and IIRC again, P.A.W. has a kit for the 318 block, 360 crank stroker. This equals 348 cubes, like the thread title or a word in it. The pistons for any 318 are pricey by compare to the bigger engines.
