I bought a 360 that was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago. I pulled the heads off to do some porting and a cam change and found 2 different casting numbers. One is 3418915-A and the other is 4343475-A. Are these heads the same as far as flow numbers? Are they the same cc? They both have 1.88 and 1.60 valves and the ports look the same. Just wondering if it will is alright to run them or should I find another 3418915 casting to match?

The bottom end is stock with factory pistons. I have a complete cam kit from a 340 that dropped a valve durring break-in (long storry and sore subject). The cam is a Comp XE268H with matching springs and lifters. I also have an RPM Airgap with a 750 carb. Just wondering what everyone thinks of this combo? I do not have the funds to build the bottom end right now (hence the reason I am not rebuilding the 340 yet). My car is a 74 Duster with a 4 speed and 3.23 8 3/4 rear. Thanks for your info and opinions.

pretty sure that was a mid to late 80s 360 head casting#. I think I would look at finding a matching set of heads, to start with.
