I've read some of the discussions on here but they don't match up with my casting ID.

The casting number is 53020006-360.

Made in Mexico is cast in near the serial number.

I'd really just like to confirm the production year.

Passenger side, 22023
Driver side 53020006-360

It's not what I was expecting either.

Just take a picture of both sides of the clean block and post it. We're just shooting in the dark. Too many digits in that number.
Right, 53020006 has one to many zeros. Maybe it's like coins and is worth a lot of money because it was stamped wrong?

There is really nothing special about any Magnum block until you get into the Mopar cast iron race blocks, but those should identifiable with a casting number starting with a letter P and will have the large letter R cast into the front of the block under the passenger side head deck surface.

Your casting number is typical of 5.9 Magnum engine blocks. The Date on the right side everyone keeps mentioning was easy in the old LA blocks because it was a conventional calendar date like you would normally write on a check. The "date" on yours may be a julian date instead of a calendar date. I am not sure. but there is a pad on the front of the block under the left cylinder deck surface that should have stamped numbers. That will tell you more info about what your block is, or what it came from. I will attach a chart below.

There should be a stamped date on the head but the Julian calendar is a 10,000 day calendar not 20,000 unless that's written down somewhere that I can't find.

Agree but don’t overlook the LA magnum blocks that had roller lifters and LA heads plus the oil feeds for the rockers . I just found one for $150 and will be going to get it on Saturday. SCORE!

That should be a different casting number than the one OP is asking about in this thread. It will likely be the 92 model year LA casting number mentioned in the thread in post ten above. Start a thread on that one when you get it. I would like to see what it is.
I have a 92 casting block in my Dart and I don’t think it had Magnum engine mount bosses, only LA ears.
I also have a 93 D250 pickup with a 5.9 Magnum and a known history. It uses the LA mounts, has the bosses for Magnum mounts, but the Magnum bosses are not even drilled.

I forgot about the Magnum mount pads . And I have one in my Barracuda. Guess I don’t spend much time looking down there . Lol

The one Im getting is in a 91 B350. I will start a thread once it’s home .

That one should be a hydraulic roller cam LA 360. The block will likely not have the Magnum crankshaft sensor mount in the rear and will likely not have the Magnum engine mount bosses cast in. But it is still a good block to use for a build if nothing is wrong with it.

No engraving at all on the front of the block, all I can find is on the passenger side, 22029 and a couple of tooling wheels for shift and something else?

It might be some odd thing with the Mexico blocks.. The painted block doesnt have a date anywhere on it, just the 09030, and the casting #. I was told it came out of a 03 Durango. The dirty one, doesnt have made it Mexico, has a 97 casting date. I know it came out of a 98 2500,
