Betting those cracks are just surface imperfections.. run it

Compression, stroke, year block?
Power adder?
How was the other end - main caps & bearings?

.....or just plain casting defect?

Red X. Never is a strong word.

Have you ever used wet or dry magnaflux to check for cracks? It all depends on the material for how it will crack..

He don’t know what he’s talking about on anything MoPar.

Not the distance. I'm sure that it's not a crack

That’s a crack Dan. Want to know how I know it’s a crack and I’m not guessing?

Because there is no parting line there where the multiple pieces of the block are put together.

So it’s not a flaw or a casting mark or anything of the sort. It’s a crack.

I have dry and wet mag’d so many parts I can’t count them. That’s a crack.
