Hey Mopar guys,

Can someone tell me if the torque converter for a 1973 cast crank 340 is the same as the torque converter for a 1971 cast crank 360?

Will it work?

Thanks guys

If the 360 is externally balanced by the dampner and the torque converter is externally balanced, why woudn't this work?

If someone can explain the "balancing act", that would be cool.

Cast crank 340 rotating assembly weighs different than a 360's and 5.9 is also different from a 340 & 360 so they take different amount of weight to be balanced only internally balanced engine can swap.

X2 "Externally balanced" does NOT mean that two different cid engines have the same "external balance."

A good case is the 360 LA VS the 360 Magnums, both externally balanced, and both are different weights, as I understand it.

you can take the weights off and buy a B&M balanced flex plate.
