I have an original #'s matching 69 383 4 spd fastback. It was my first car and I just turned 44. It's currently getting the show poddle treatment.

I think there are some similarities between the 67,68 , and 69. They all use the same oil pan stamped 893 in the bottom. They all use the larger 22" three core radiator but the numbers change year to year. I think for 68 the last three numbers are 033 off hand. Keep in mind however that these parts are quite pricy. k frame is similar for 68 and 69. Your best bet if to get Galen's white books. They have all the correct part #'s in them if you are looking to restore one.

I have an original 69 383 FB S car vin # BH29H9B176912. The hood has been modified with the dual snorkel demon scoop. Otherwise the car has never been cut. Still has the original manifolds and pipes, including the tips. The mufflers have been changed. Gave away the original wheels many years ago and installed Centerlines 15x8 and 15x3.5. Not looking to sell the car but get it back on the street after 25 years of storage.

I have a 69, 4 speed 383 fastback, still unrestored, pm me if you have any specific questions.

Almost ready to roll, my '67. Original 383 Fastback, not original engine or tranny.
'67 Radiator had ID number 2785929
'68 Radiator had ID number 2898033
'69 Radiator had ID number 2949065
I have heard but not confirmed that the '67 oil pan was a one time piece and was actually 'formed' with a hammer!

I know that the 67 engine compartments where a hair narrower because I tried to stuff a hemi in one once and the valve covers touched the fenderwells. In the 68/69 cars they would clear by about 3/4 of an inch.

Here is my 383-S fastback. Put in a 440+6 in it in 1986. It is a bench seat, four speed, fast ratio steering car. I have the original engine, just in case.
