383-S Hood insert restoration

I see a number of threads on the paint selection to restore the 68 Barracuda hood inserts, but has anyone attempted to also replicate the rough texture? If so, what/how did you do it?

I have a second set of inserts to restore and want to get as close to original as possible.

Dry spray to build texture then a medium wet coat to lock everything down. That's the way I did it.

its the same phosphate something or other that was used on rally wheel centers. It's available somewhere too.

Drop a line to Totally Auto. I think they have the texured paint you might be after.
