Is anybody using a Pistol grip shifter. I picked up a 833 with shifter and linkage for my 65 but there was no handle and I'm curious what a pistol grip would look like in the early A bodies.

I knew someone years ago who felt the '71-'74 "B" body shifter fit and worked best and he tried many oem handles. He did not have a console in his '65 Cuda. Nor do I know if the "B" body handle he used was for a console car or non-console car. There is often a difference.

I hope this is on topic and helpful.

I bought this 70 Duster and it had a Competition Plus shifter with a Hurst Pistol Grip handle and a homemade console. From what I’ve read I believe the handle to be 71-74 B Body and the fit and throw was fine for what it was but I recently switched to a short throw Hurst handle and ditched the console.
Both handles were a good fit for this car.
