Just bought a 4spd for my Demon.. It is complete with shift rods, heavy duty rods I was told, whatever that means... recently rebuilt hurst shifter and bellhousing. This tranny is super clean. I drove a long way to get because I thought it was a great deal, based on some ads I've seen and the money being asked for.. So, not knowing much at all about prices, I'm asking you more knowledgeable people if I made a good move.. I trust the guy I bought it from after meeting and talking to him. I've been burned before, but if this tranny is as good as it looks, was $900 a fair price.

That's not a bad price. You could have found just the trans somewhere for about $500. By the time you buy a bell housing, shifter, shifter mounting pad, linkage rods you'd have spent another $400 for that stuff anyway.

It would have been nice to get the clutch fork, pivot ball, and shifter handle in the deal. But, not the end of the world, that stuff is all available.

The real question is... do YOU think it was a fair price?
