4 speed pedal assemblies ????

Ok. I've pretty much decided I'm gonna put a stick in the Sedan, since I don't have an auto trans at this point anyway and I have a small pile of 4 speed parts and a couple of complete trans (none of the complete ones are A body pieces). I'm sure I've got the parts to assemble an A body OD from these parts.

My question is, will the pedal assembly from a 70's A body work in my 68? The big bracket is different on the two, so I have no idea if they will physically swap.
 
The 70 will work in a 67 and later A body. 70 will have a clutch safety switch on it.
 
Thanks. So there are no problems with the "dash end" being much wider on the later model bracket?
 
Not that I know of. Nothing a little grinding couldn't fix... :-D
 
From pics of the assemblies on Brewer's site it would take some cutting and welding instead of grinding
 
Could you post a link or the pictures to the two assemblies?
 
And here is the later one. Notice the shape on what is the left side, dash end
 
at least they don't look like the same shape to me
