4 speed pedal assembly firewall bracket?

Converting auto to 4 speed. Thought I read somewhere on here that there is some type of bracket required to weld to firewall to stiffen it, then maybe pedal assembly bolts through that to firewall itself? Anyone have a picture if this is true? I do have the frame rail bracket for the pivot stud. Thanks for any help.
 
high performance cars had heavy duty pedal assembly with a reinforcement bracket under the dash
 
B-body and bigger cars have a bracket that bolts through the firewall to reinforce the clutch pedal side ....but the A-body cars do not. A-body cars mount just the same as an auto brake pedal assembly. The four master cyl. nuts and four bolts under the dash.
