4 Speed qestion

Is there any diffrence in a big block and a small block four speed? Or do they both bolt up to the bell housings the same. I have a 4 speed I pulled out of a Dart with a 440 in it and I know it is a A body four speed, just wondering if there was any diffrence from a small block to big block?

I believe they all used same tranny with the exception of Hemi and 440 6paks. they got the 18 spline vrs. 23, with heavier internals. bell different between the 2. bearing retainer sizes may also differ.
