What does it take to go 4 speed and a projected cost? What parts do I need? I have a 727 but a 4 speed would be fantastic to have.

1: A-833 trans
2: 10 1/2 bell housing
3: 130 tooth flywheel
4: clutch pedal assembly
5: Z-bar and clutch linkage
6: clutch
7: floor hump
8: shifter
9: an engine with a crank machined for a pilot bushing

I just went 4 speed. It ended up costing me right around $1,200 to get all the parts.

Agree but also this to consider:

1) 11" bell can be used also, if racing, scattershield.
2) 143 tooth wheel
7) fab own hump, easy and can make more room for install and access to
side cover, even removeable if desired.
9) roller bearing bushing installs in converter snout recess, can use any
crank, shorten drive pinion.
