4 speed shifter ???

Are the four speed shifters the same from 69-70? I am restoring a 69 swinger 4 speed car and found a shifter out of a 70, didnt know if there is a difference or not.... :scratch:

If this is a hurst shifter- I doubt there is very much difference at all. In fact you can use any new process (833) shifter with any B, E, A, F or C body car as long as you have the correct length shifter rods, matched to the external shifter arms on the shifter forks for the body being used. There might be some differences in the adapter plates specific to the body style as well, and certainly there are big differences in the handles, but they bolt on as you may know. Hope this helps.

Bottom line - I wouldnt hesitate using the parts youve got.
