4-way hazard flashers causes dome light to flicker (when on)

Hello, is it normal for the dome light (when its on) to flickr when the hazards are put on?

The dome light is dimming very noticeably each time the 4-way flashers flash. (of course only when the dome light is actually on).

Do the 4-way hazard flashers create a significant load on the electrical system?

It is not normal, you have a ground issue that is causing that to happen.

4 way flasher is a on/off load on the system. Hazard and dome may be on the same fuse too ( I forget ). Even if not, a single wire from a weld splice supplies all hot at all times fuses. A good system and battery should be able to handle it though. I would start at battery and terminals.

Take the dome bulb out and hook up a volt meter and note the voltage drop, then hook up the volt meter to the battery and see if the voltage has the same drop
