230 casting was the 1st 400 block made. someone gave that block that name. was a mopar mechanic most of my life and never heard any instructor at school/factory worker use that phrase. supposedly a little thicker in certain areas. next is the 630 casting block that is almost as good. 440 source has a lot of info on their site explaining block features and why 1 is better than the others.
