I had a mate too, also disabled. He broke his neck in a car accident while in his early 20s. Spent the rest of his shortened life in a wheelchair.
The point is: the fellow in this thread has not revealed what or how bad his disability is, nor should he have to if he doesn't want to.
If he says he has trouble typing, & believe him until I find out otherwise.
Nothing to do with treating somebody differently, it is about recognising that he is disabled.
I didn't query his disability, nor draw attention to it; it was the f*ck wit after me that told him to 'try harder' & treated him differently.
