Lol. Mine too. This was a winter build in living room. Wasn't first one either or last.
My curiosity is killing me. How did you get the engine in and out? It looks like you have stairs to get inside?

Lol. Rolled on engine stand to porch and used cherry picker to lift off porch. Neighbors think I'm nutsMy curiosity is killing me. How did you get the engine in and out? It looks like you have stairs to get inside?
The car that it came out of. What was it? How was it built? You will need the same combination or better to go as fast.Big tires and Dana 60 getting done. Running mid 10's already without nitrous
cylinder head and upper end components, compression and oil mods ?650+. Wiseco and custom ground comp cam. Solid roller of course. Thanks for comment
New engine. Built myself. Had scamp since new. Motor didn't come out of anything. I got lots of sb mopar stuff and blocks. It's a 340 ta block when started out. She does good on street and track. The car that it came out of. What was it? How was it built? You will need the same combination or better to go as fast.
Just saying, to run those times with that horsepower you will need Cal Trax, ladder/leaf, at least Super Stock springs, Mini tub or full tub, subframe ties, basic cage or better. Maybe lol. I'm just a retired aerospace engineer. I got nothing but time. Why be normal? I've built Harleys and many engines in house in winter. I got computer software that I can input data and test breaking and stress points in metal alloys. When failure occurs I figure how to fix issues or make parts myself. Have 5 axis okuma and a lathe and Bridgeport at my disposal. I'm just not wanting anything that anyone else has. I'm unique I guess? My knowledge of 340's especially goes back to early 70's when I got my first mopar. Love the abodys. I'm building a new motor for a sb dyno shootout at AEM against Chevy builder. Pride and $ on line but no worries here. I know how to get major hp out of sb mopar hands down. Mopar or no car baby.... Take it easy hoss and nice chatting. If you ever get to ks look me up and come have a few brews and we go riding or just hangout. My son lives in Estes Park Co. I love the state and go often to visit. Later on hoss-
Ok , please share details of the valvetrain and cylinder heads and induction--I like to learn. J.Rob
I guess you guys missed it.....
Ha ha. Do research. Guys getting 700 hp and then sum. Knowledge isn't always free. Why would I want someone having the bill to my builds? It's my edge over others. I'm unique. Don't want copycats. Some people I swear. Enjoy your site and good luck. Do your own research guys. Come on.....
He ran the numbers through the Gonculator.Just out of curiosity, how did you arrive at the 650 hp number?
The GUY's you are referring to really don't need your help. and the cylinder head you chose would be way down on my list.Ha ha. Do research. Guys getting 700 hp and then sum.
