I am selling off all extra parts for my hobby cars to try and keep the house a bit longer.
Here is a 440 short block dated 1971 ready for rebuild. This is an internally balanced forged steel crank standard cylinder bore engine, hydraulic lifters are still in place.
Casting number on side of block is 2536480-8, dated 8*24*71. Lower stamp pad which contains part of the VIN is 28209047. Upper stamp pad next to the water pump reads:
H 440 X
1 14 2
Comes with #699 pan, engine was removed from a C-Body Car (Imperial, Fury, 300, Newport) which means little old lady car, not beat on B-Body engine.
