440 woes

I don't see how this contributed to oil in the cylinder. Can anyone explain? MT

A non firing cylinder will pull oil up through the rings.

I went out in my shop and checked a few rocker shaft bolts, and I couldn't find any that appear to have the thread damage the one in the pic seems to have. The other visible bolt appears OK so maybe one got torqued a little tight.

Got the Dart back yesterday morning. Ran beautifully and cruised almost the entire day!

That'd be an intake rocker broken,, so without the intake opening on the intake stroke,, there's tremendous vacuum in the cylinder,, sucks oil up past the rings,..
