Here we go again, big power engine with a near stock chassis. Either that engine doesn't make any where near 600 horsepower or your chassis is total crap. So is it a leaf spring car? How wide is the tire, you are leaving a lot of information out for anyone to give you good advice.

However I'm going to guess that with that size tire you don't have much for a chassis. If you were really serious about racing you should have built the chassis first. That kind of power should be in a four link or ladder bar car with at least a 14/32 tire and a 5.13 gear.

I agree with guitar . you need to work on rear supn. to get better times.your 60 ft times should be in the 1.3 to 1.45 range to get better times. 1.6 won't get it.

I have a 505 hp stroker that likes locked 31 timing and runs 10.50's. I have a stock 950 hp and a 9.5 convertor that stalls at 4200. My 60's are in the 1.38-1.44 range. Maybe you have too much convertor? Where is your peak tq? I have heard that if a engine is real efficient it takes less timing.

Guitar I have cal tracs and mono leafs with a mopar drag shock. I run a 30X9 radial slick on a 8 in rim within the stock wheel well. Craig

Im not an expert on this but just because you hold 7.5 pounds of fuel doesn't mean you are getting enough fuel. Your running a mechanical pump, pulling fuel from the rear through a 1/2" line? What regulator are you running? I have a mid 700HP 500BB and everyone i have spoken with pushed me to upgrade my GB280 and reg to a MagnaFlow500 and bigger regulator. BG even said the big two port reg that I was running wasn't big enough. Hopefully someone more in the know can jump on this and correct me if Im wrong. Are you sure about your cars weight? Are you spinning the tires a lot?

Where was it dyno'd? What headers do you have? Was it dyno'd with your carb and headers? There's no way it's making 628hp. Even that cam is way small for that number. Did you see your engien on the stand, or was this done when you were not around? Something aint kosher. I would be expecting a number around 550 with that cam and compression. your ETs show a lot missing. It's down for some reason.

Ok looked up that pump. Once again, not an expert but if that pump, which is built for "RVs and any race engine" does what it says it does for $110 bucks and flowing 140GPH, we all should change our combos. A BG280 with their two port regulator and #8 or #10 lines will only handle 650HP (from Berry's mouth) Thats twice the flow of that mechanical pump. Not to mention pumps push better than they pull. I cry fowl on the fuel system for starters.

I went to the converter site it said 7.67%. I took out the plugs out of the car and they were really black and sooty.looks like i have to jet down. The primary were 79 secondary 86.hope i can pick up some mph by doing this.

Dyno headers might make it rich in the car. They are designed to maximize hookup and power. Not fit chassis. So the engine is jetted up for max power, then is all wrong in your car at your track. Also, 7.6 slip is fairly high IMO for a car such as yours, but I still think it's making closer to 500 horsepower than 6. The power you are demonstrating is not what the dyno said.
