Any reason not to go with a 46RH?
I have a line on a 1990 46RH out of a Ram Van with the converter that I'm going to look at tomorrow to make sure its the lock up version.

Besides having to butcher the tunnel, cut the drive shaft and make a trans mount, is there anything I need to be aware of?

I'm just trying to make sure I'm not missing something glaring.
Should bolt directly to my 91 360.

Any issues with starters?

If the van had the 5.9 it'll bolt right up. If it was a 5.2 you'll need a 5.9 converter due to the balancing weights. Starter shouldn't be an issue, but a good time to swap to the later style. Beyond that, there's just the rear mount fabrication and a little plumbing and wiring.

Do yourself a favor and put a TransGo kit in it to address some of the issues the early OD transmissions had.

Should I be looking for 91 or newer 46RH instead?

What kind of issues did they have?

Thanks for the info Chief!

The transmission was the non lockup version. So I didn't get it.
I did bring home an A500 though.
