489 question - 10 spline vs 29 spline

Question - I have a 489 case with factory 10 spline gear set. Yukon has a 29 spline bearing set - question is can I use it? Shouldn't a 489 set generally be the same? Could I use a 29 spline gear set with a new yoke, or is there something special between the two?

So If I sold my gear set, I could just add the old yoke and any 489 could plug it in?

The only difference I can think of might be that early 489's (early 69) may have a leftover 68 clutch type sure grip which uses different side bearings than the later ones with the cone type SG but the pinion bearings are the same on both
