When I converted my 69 340 Barracuda from an automatic to a 4 speed, I LUCKED out and found a 69 Barracuda 340 4 speed parts car with a running 340, 3.55 Sure grip, console and LOTS of good parts. Just a lot of rust. I carefully compared the crossmembers, and I could find no differences. So I totally agree with @Scody21. BTW, after pulling off all the 4 speed stuff and selling the rest (including the 727 automatic, console, shifter, etc) I got a great 4 speed conversion for free and put about a thousand dollars in my pocket.
