Hope not haha. Might as well get a new replacementMaybe a sleeve in it's future?
I have a braided Lokar. Its royal pain in the ***, but, the only thing that works. The outer tube needs to be trimmed back to the firewall. Column shift needs no mods. It will work. Even with TTI headers. Speaking of those, they do fit. It's ten pounds of **** in a five pound bag.View attachment 1715860599
mocking everything up.. very tight everywhere haha. What trans dip stick are you guys running? Also this steering column needs heavy modifications. What have you guys done? I want to keep column shift so some sectioning may be in order. I’ll be making headers but how on gods green earth do the pre made ones fit??
Thank you! So you cut the outter sleeve of the column off? Seeing that right? Have pictures off the headers installed?73 Scamp 5.7 Swap
Here's my son's car. Some pics of questions you have.
I recut the little slots that hold the retaining clip. Used a thin cut off wheel.Number one tube on driver side if you could. How it meshes with motor mount. Also the lower plastic bearing on column. How did you keep it in place when you cut the outer sleeve? I have it cut apart. Thanks
It may be the angle of the photo, but it looks to me like you have the engine sitting a lot lower than stock.View attachment 1715860599

Just looks like it. Per the measurements of Holley pan I have .250 clearance to k member and the engine is in at 2.8 down on the tail shaft. It may be the angle of the photo, but it looks to me like you have the engine sitting a lot lower than stock.
