/6 swap to v8 cross member?

[1970 duster]

I am in the collection of parts from a slant six to a 340 swap for my 1970 Duster. I have a 727 Transmission for which I plan to bolt up to the 340. My question now I am looking at the transmission cross member will the cross member have to be replaced? The cross member on the car appears to have a signal bolt in the trans and the other to the bracket. I have seen other a body cars with what seems to be an extention with the mount attached to the cross member. Hope that I have descripton of the cross member and mount can be understood. Thanks

I swapped a slant six 904 set up out of my 72 dart with a 360 727 set up without having to change the cross member, everything bolted up for me

I also went from a /6 to a 318 the ttrans was a 904 and I went to a 727 , I did not have to change to cross member.

Thanks for the replies, what through me off was the mount that came with the transmission.
