61 valiant brake drums

Trying to find part numbers and parts dealer for front and rear brake drums for a 61 valiant.

Are they 9" or 10" or something odd?

rockauto.com does list brake drums for a 61 valiant.

For some reason after trying new ones that did't work from NAPA he wants to find a donor car to get original ones off of. What year and model cars will work on his 61 valiant?

9" brakes up to approx 1972 are all the same -- they put finned 9" sometime in the early 70's & are a little different--- why did NAPA not work? Lawrence

I'm not sure why NAPA drums didn't work. I have'nt seen this car we are talking on the phone. He says those floating drums shake bad when brakes are applied. He even had those new drums turned and they still shake.I wonder if drums are the problem all I realy know is he asked me to help him find a set of drums that are'nt the floating type to fit his 61 valiant.

if he did not turn the drums & the hub as a unit then that could be the start of the problem..-- mopar swedged the hub to the drum-- if that was not done --I would start there, Lawrence
