  • Location Berthoud Colorado
  • Asking $450 Local pickup preferred. Please PM for details
Details:
  • This was pulled from a 66 Charger and has had the spring perches moved in for an A body (44" to 43")
  • 741 case with open 3.23 gears. As far as I know, it has never been touched. I simply cleaned this out with brake clean and ran it. Hopefully, the pictures come through good enough to see the Prussian blue contact pattern
  • Axles are stock but green bearings have been installed (5 on 4.5" pattern). Axle seals need to be replaced (although not required with the green bearings)
  • Backing plates/ brake parts, vent, Pinion snubber are not included. (whats in the pictures is what you get)

So how well did it fit in an A body ?

It fit well. The only reason I am selling it is because I couldn't get enough backspace with the wheels I run. I screwed up on my original backspace measurements and forgot to factor in the tire section width. If I hit a large enough bump, I would get some fender to sidewall contact. It was cheaper to get a new housing than another set of custom offset rims.

If you matched this with the correct wheel backspace, no reason this wouldn't work for everyday driving. This housing (Drum to Drum)is ~3" wider than an a body housing. Moves the tires out ~1.5" from where they normally sit.

@moderators Just realized I didn't put this in the brakes, steering and suspension forum. Please move it if necessary.
