Hey folks, happy summer, hotter than the hinges of Hades here in the Seattle area, hope ya'll are fairing well.

I have finally gotten my engine and transmission back into Lulu, my sweet thing. I was injured in a car wreck in March, the week I was planning on getting the engine installed. Spent two and a half months in physical therapy and planned on putting the engine in a few weeks ago and out went the low back. More physical therapy but pulled it all together with the help of a couple of friends and my back brace and installed the engine with the tranny attached into the car. Piece of cake. Working slowly on getting the rest of the engine together so I can fire her up. (Hopefully!)

The car had this type of strip when I removed it but don't quite know if it is original. Perhaps someone knows if the 63 had the metal strip or the plastic roll stuff.

I found a thread saying this windshield gasket would work for the convertible. It installed easily and seems to fit OK. So I grabbed this one off of ebay:

Now I am looking for the lockstrip trim:

Has anyone been this route and found it will work? If you know of a supplier that has one I might check with please let me know.

Thanks all.

John
