are these interchangeable? Ive heard a few different things. Guy has a 65 cable shift 904...says I can use it with my 64 pushbutton smallblock set up...? Anybody know whats right?

You must use the 64 valve body, or swap out the "manual valve" and detent "comb", in the 65 valve body. The transmissions are the same, except for the valve body. The 64 valve body has 5 detents, and the 65 valve body has 6 detents.

so I will have to get a 64 valve body ...how much that cost...? can you get them?
