"65 Barracuda Roll Call" just curious..how many of you have one?

Why only 65's? 64,5's were almost identical.

Sorry, didn't mean to leave you out! I know of a guy named Gilbert who lives near me that has a 64. I only asked about 65's because that is what I have and again, someone asked me how many 65's were on the road. Based on what I have seen so far, seems like there are only about 15 that have answered up so far on this forum. (I am sure there a several of them out there that nobody knows about). But kinda fun to see how many are on this site for sure!
 
I know of 3 others in North Carolina. One is complete, One is being rebuilt and one I saw at a car show a couple of years ago.
 
Here is my 1965. It has the original 273 4 bbl. engine rebuilt with a 904 automatic. Also a MP electronic ignition, 8-3/4 rear, BBP wheel conversion, and one repaint about 20 years ago. I'm in the Milwaukee, WI area and this is the only 1st generation Cuda I've ever seen around here. At the WMMC (Wisconsin Mopar Muscle Club) shows it is the only one that ever shows up.

My son just got on a few weeks ago and here it is arriving in the driveway to join the 'fleet' LOL! The PO had done a lot of nice things; super interior, 8-3/4" rear, GV OD, A/C, and a lot of hard work. Now in the garage ready for a 340.

Looks great. That was the color of my first one several years ago.
 
recently i have had 5 barracudas in my yard at 1 time. 1-64 1/2 push button auto on dash w/ 273 v8, 1-66 v8 auto, 3-65 (1 was a formula s type), (1 was converted to a 4 speed, 273), 1 is a /6 auto which is the 1 i am keeping. the 64 i sold to a friend who now lives in washington, the 66 sold to a kid who then lost it to crooked body shop here in phoenix they charged him 3k for a bunch of bondo work and terrrible work at that, the formula s car was t-boned on pass. side quarterpanel and some idiot took sawzall and started cutting it up badly, the 4 speed car was a poorly bad conversion setup and floor was wasted from rust as well as trunk floor, so i took all usable parts from those 2 and now i am down to just 1 barracuda with extra parts

I'll play.
Mines a 318 with an early 4 speed, still driving it but accumulating lots of upgrades to be done soon.All that I did recently was add Bilstein's.

Already have:
1) Front disc setup
2) .990 Torsion Bars
3) Tubular uppers and threaded struts
4) OD 4 speed trans and Bell
5) Magnum exhausts
6) 8 3/4 w/ suregrip
7) BBP Axles

Still need:
1) Driveshaft
2) New rear leafs
3) shockplates
4)Ring and Pinion
5) Wheels and Tires

I only asked about 65's because that is what I have and again, someone asked me how many 65's were on the road.

Actually around here within a bout 100 miles there is at least 4 others. I did own another white Barracuda (273 Auto) but had to sell it at the time I had nowhere to store it as I lost my rental garage.

This one is from the Red Deer area.

See my avatar. Our 1965 Barracuda with 273 Commando is son's daily driver. We are keeping it original as much as possible but doing a few practical upgrades which to date have included aftermarket AC (we live in Florida!) and dual exhaust. We had the front end rebuilt, installed all new braking components, new Holley high perf fuel pump, complete tune up of course, and a few other things. Our project this fall is to rebuild the engine.
 
mine is a 65 formula S blue, but needs to be finished with a little body and paint job. However it is 100% mechanically good! She runs like a rabbit and I drive it all the time. In fact I just put a aluminum radiator in it and had the front end aligned. She is a fun car and this weekend the Midwest Mopar club is gathering and it is always fun to see if any other early Barracudas will show up! Sometimes there may be another other times I am alone!

It's a complete, not running, very little rust southern 65 Barracuda. Floors are intact, carpet and headliner are gone, seats not torn, door panels are 50yr old. Factory 273 auto combo. Factory 13" wheels, hub caps with the simulation spinner design. All glass, all chrome, and all trim. It's my brother's car, has been in storage for 10yrs. He's selling cause he found the car he's always wanted. Also comes with a basket case, 1964 /6 push button Barracuda. Also comes with a late 70's 360, needing built, 727 transmission, set of headers, and 74 Duster disc brake setup to update the front to big bolt patter disc. Also have BBP rear 7.25 axles. Body isn't molested or damaged. This car isn't rotted out, and if he can't sell it or the other car is sold, he'll return to build it.

Original paint from 66,67 bought from junkyard and stored in garage since early 70's,purchased form friend talked to original builder and put back as built 383 tunnel 4spd, not sure on wheels just what I had. A friend found the original display sign in a garage around Indy HOW COOL IS THAT!

Hey Tom, That looks so much like my Formula S. I still have the original hub caps though. Have been looking for a set of chrome reverse wheels, but am kind of stuck on the original look.
